Community Hours

Bring the future of AI to your local cafe.

Meet people over coffee and show them what their Macs can help make possible. Lithi helps draft event listings, invitations and posters. You review them before they’re shared.

See how hosting works

Venue

Start with a cafe or coworking space.

Search the map for a cafe or coworking space you’d enjoy visiting. Pick somewhere easy to find, with room for a few people and their Macs.

Permission

Give the venue a quick call.

Lithi gives you a short script for the call. Agree the time, group size and anything you need, like Wi-Fi or power, then record their answer before you invite anyone.

Event details

Your event details become the invitation.

Set the date, time and number of places. Lithi turns them into an Eventbrite listing, and once you approve it, people have one place to read the details and book.

Poster

A poster with your own QR code.

The QR code opens your event page so people can book a place, and Lithi records that they came through you. Later, you can see which Macs joined the network thanks to your Community Hour.

Print it for the venue, hand it out or share it on social media.

Groups

Find the people around the corner.

Lithi suggests local Facebook groups where your invitation could fit. Read each group’s rules, then join the ones where you’d be welcome.

Posting

Copy. Paste. Share. Next.

The Lithi Safari Companion keeps your caption and poster beside Facebook. Pick a version, paste it in, make it yours and click Post. Then move on to the next group.

Hosting

Coffee first. A little demo next.

Bring your Mac, welcome people in and show them what Lithi does. Lithi gives you a short agenda and an opening line, so you can relax and leave plenty of time for questions.

Smart Share

AirDrop your link over coffee.

When someone at your Community Hour wants to know more, open Share in Lithi, choose AirDrop and select their device. They accept the link and can explore Lithi in their own time.

Use your personal link so Lithi records who you introduced.

Nearby Macs · optional

Optional help with Mac setup.

If someone wants help setting up their Mac, Nearby Macs can find it on the same network. Review it together, or send setup instructions so they can choose their own settings.

Welcome pack

A warm welcome, even after the coffee.

Mark who came and who’d like to hear from you. Lithi prepares a short welcome pack, with getting started, working hours, privacy and help, and adds it to your To Do list to review and send.

App screens show sample people, places and figures.

Before you host

Still have a question?

Who would you invite for a coffee?

We think there’s a better place to start: the Macs already sitting on our desks. Bring a few people together and show them how their Macs can take part.
